# 14. Inventory Tracking Summary Report

The [Inventory Tracking Summary Report](https://autosoftware.company/inventory_tarcking_report_summary.php) shows one line per part with everything that moved it over a period: where it started, what you bought, what you used, what a manual count changed, and where it ended. Where a number looks wrong, the eye icons open the individual transactions behind it, so this is the report to reach for when stock does not add up.

## How do I run the Inventory Tracking Summary Report?

1. From the Home Screen, click Inventory → Inventory Reports.
2. Click Inventory Tracking Summary Report.
3. Set the date range, then choose the categories from the category selector.
4. Click Apply, or click Show All to include everything.
5. Click Print or Download to keep a copy.

## How do I see the transactions behind a number on the Tracking Summary?

1. From the Home Screen, click Inventory → Inventory Reports → Inventory Tracking Summary Report, and run the report for your date range and categories.
2. Click the eye icon in the Purchases heading to open Detail For Purchases, listing each Part Number, Order Date, Supplier Name, Supplier Inv #, and QTY, with a total.
3. Click the eye icon in the Usage heading to open Detail For Usage, listing each Part Number, Usage Date, Store Inv #, and QTY.
4. Click the eye icon in the Manual Count Adjustment Qty heading to open Detail For Manual Ct Adj., listing each Part Number, Date, User Name, and the QTY added or removed — which tells you who changed a count and when.
5. Each popup has its own Print and Download buttons. Close it with the × in the corner.
