# 3. Add Invoice for a Fleet Account Customer

Fleet customers are businesses that run an account with you. A Local Fleet Account Customer is a local business you bill directly; a National Fleet Account Customer is a national fleet company. Clicking either button lists every active account of that type straight away, so you can pick the business and then the vehicle. The vehicle list for a fleet shows which vehicles are marked as fleet vehicles, and if the account is blocked for an unpaid balance ARM warns you in red.

## How do I start an invoice for a fleet vehicle?

1. From the Home Screen, click Invoices → [Add Invoice](https://autosoftware.company/select_customer.php).
2. Click Local Fleet Account Customer or National Fleet Account Customer.
3. Find the account in the list, or narrow it with Enter License Plate # and GO, Enter VIN and GO, or Search Name/Phone No and SEARCH. A plate or VIN that matches one account selects it for you.
4. Click SELECT beside the account.
5. Click SELECT beside the vehicle. To add a vehicle to the account, click ADD VEHICLES. Is Fleet Vehicle is ticked for you.
6. Enter the Odometer reading, choose the Writeup Employee, and click SAVE & GO TO INVOICE.

## What does "This Local Fleet Account is Blocked due to delinquent balance" mean?

1. From the Home Screen, click Invoices → Add Invoice → Local Fleet Account Customer.
2. When you select an account whose balance is overdue, ARM shows this warning above its vehicles.
3. It is a warning only. You can still write the invoice, but talk to the account before charging more work to it.
