# 35. PartsTech Orders and Quotes

PartsTech ORDERS and PartsTech QUOTES connect the [invoice](https://autosoftware.company/invoice_entry_form.php) to the PartsTech parts catalog, if your shop uses PartsTech. QUOTES opens PartsTech to price parts for this vehicle, and lists the parts you have priced with their status, Pending, Approved or Declined. ORDERS opens PartsTech to buy parts, and once parts are ordered it asks you to match each one to a line on the invoice. The ORDERS button turns red when there are ordered parts still to match. Your shop may ask for a password for either button.

## How do I price parts in PartsTech?

1. From the Home Screen, click Invoices → Invoice List and open the draft invoice.
2. Click PartsTech QUOTES. PartsTech opens in a new tab for this vehicle.
3. Add the parts to your cart and submit it in PartsTech.
4. Back on the invoice, click PartsTech QUOTES again to see the parts. Set each one's Status to Approved when the customer agrees, and change the Part Sale Price $ or Labor Total $ if you need to.
5. Tick the approved parts and click Submit Order to order them from the supplier. This places a real order.

## How do I add ordered PartsTech parts to the invoice?

1. From the Home Screen, click Invoices → Invoice List and open the invoice.
2. Click PartsTech ORDERS.
3. For each ordered part, tick the LABOR and PART lines to bring onto the invoice.
4. On Apply To Existing Service Packages, choose the Part On Invoice it replaces, or on Apply New Service Package To Invoice, choose the Business Type, Master Package and Sub Service to add.
5. Click SAVE and confirm with Yes, Apply. ARM adds the prices to the invoice and records the purchase as an outside part purchase.
