# 34. SMS

[SMS](https://autosoftware.company/chat.php) opens the text conversation with the customer, the same page as SMS Chat. It only appears when the customer has agreed to texts and texting is set up for your shop, and it turns red when the customer has texted you and nobody has replied. The page lists All Conversations on the left and this customer's messages on the right.

## How do I text the customer about their car?

1. From the Home Screen, click Invoices → Invoice List and open the invoice.
2. Click SMS. The customer's conversation opens.
3. Type in the message box and click Send, or press Return. Shift + Return starts a new line.
4. To send a photo or PDF, attach it. Each file can be up to 5 MB.
5. Keep offers and discounts out of these messages unless the customer has agreed to marketing texts.
