Inventory Manual Count

Inventory Manual Count is how you reconcile what is on the shelf with what ARM thinks you have. Staff walk the shop with a tablet or a printed list and enter the counted quantity for each part. Nothing changes in live inventory at that point: the count is held in Pending Inventory Qty until an authorised user reviews it and applies it. That two-step flow means a miscount can be corrected or deleted before it touches your stock.

How do I enter a manual inventory count? #

  1. From the Home Screen, click Inventory → Inventory Reports.
  2. Click Inventory Manual Count.
  3. Pick a category in Select Category and click Apply, or click Show All to count every category.
  4. For each part, type the counted figure into QTY On Shelf, or use the – and + buttons to step it down or up by one. You can also scan a part into the list using the Scan barcode here... box.
  5. Leave QTY On Shelf blank for any part you did not count — a blank is ignored and the part's quantity on hand stays as it is. Enter 0 for a part that is genuinely out of stock.
  6. Click Save Inventory Qty. The count is saved to Pending Inventory Qty for review; live inventory is not changed yet.

How do I review and apply a pending count? #

  1. From the Home Screen, click Inventory → Inventory Reports → Inventory Manual Count.
  2. Click Pending Inventory Qty. The Final Inventory Manual Count screen lists each saved count with Count By, Count Date, and the category counted.
  3. Set the date range and click Apply, or click Show All, to find the count you want.
  4. Click Select beside that count to load its lines. Delete removes a count that was done wrong.
  5. Check the QTY On Shelf figures against the Employee Name who entered them, and correct any that are wrong.
  6. Click Submit & Update Inv. Qty. On System. ARM creates a manual-count lot and updates your live quantities.
  7. Click Exit to leave without applying anything.
