Adding Services, Labor and Parts

Services are added by clicking the service buttons under Select Services. Each block is a business type, such as Fast Lube Business or Brake Business, and each button is a master service package such as Conventional Oil Change. Clicking a package opens Select or Add Service, where you choose the sub-package, which is the exact job and price, and ARM fills in the labor and parts for it. Blue buttons are not on the invoice; green buttons are. A purple border on a green button means that package is complete: every part has a part number and every line has a technician.

How do I add a service to the invoice? #

From the Home Screen, click Invoices → Add Invoice and open the new invoice, or open a draft from Invoices → Invoice List and click EDIT.
Under Select Services, click the service package, for example Conventional Oil Change.
In Select or Add Service, click the sub-package you are selling under PLEASE SELECT SUBPACKAGES. If there is only one, ARM selects it for you.
ARM lists the package's labor and parts under NEW SUB SERVICE PACAKGE(S) ADDED. Untick any line the customer is not having, and change the Hours, QTY or price if you need to.
Under Select Technicians (for Commission Purspose) Who Performed the Work, tick the technician under TOP or ONLY and the Salesperson(s).
Click SAVE & CLOSE. The lines appear in the LABOR and PARTS tables and the totals update.
Click SAVE to save the invoice.

How do I add an extra labor line or part to a service? #

From the Home Screen, click Invoices → Invoice List, open the draft and click EDIT.
Click the green service package the extra work belongs to.
Click ADD NEW LABOR, enter the Hours, Labor Description and Amount, and click SAVE. The Labor Description is required.
Click ADD NEW PART, enter the Qty and Part Description, pick the Part No from the list, and check the Unit Price. Qty and Part Description are required.
Click SAVE & CLOSE, then SAVE.

How do I choose the right part number? #

From the Home Screen, click Invoices → Invoice List, open the draft and click EDIT, then click the service package.
In the parts table, the Part No box is green when the part is in stock and pink when it is not.
Start typing in Part No to pick from your inventory, or click PARTS beside it to open Choose Part and search the catalog.
If more than one product uses the same number, ARM asks you to choose the correct one and click Choose.
Click SAVE & CLOSE.

How do I change or remove a line? #

From the Home Screen, click Invoices → Invoice List, open the draft and click EDIT.
In the LABOR or PARTS table, change the Hours, Description, Qty or price directly in the row.
To reopen the package, click the edit icon in the Action column.
To remove one line, click the red X in the Action column and confirm.
To remove a whole service, click the red X beside its green button under Select Services. ARM warns you first; click Yes. Remove Package From Invoice. Pressing Enter chooses No, so you cannot remove a package by accident.
Click SAVE.

How do I add an outside part I bought for this job? #

From the Home Screen, click Invoices → Invoice List, open the invoice and click EDIT.
Click the service package that uses the part.
Click ENTER OUTSIDE PART PURCHASES (OPP) FOR CURRENT PART.
Enter the OPP Date, Supplier Invoice No, Supplier Name, Part No, Part Description and OPP Cost, and the payment, then save.
ARM records the purchase as an expense linked to this invoice, so the profit on the invoice shows the real cost. Click OPP in the toolbar to see every outside purchase on the invoice.

What is the Free Oil Change Program message? #

From the Home Screen, click Invoices → Add Invoice and add an oil change service.
When you click SAVE & CLOSE and the vehicle has earned a free oil change, ARM shows FREE OIL CHANGE PROGRAM with the Discount Amount.
Click Yes to give the customer the discount, or No to save it for another visit.
