Voiding and Deleting an Invoice
Void and Delete both cancel an invoice, but they work differently. VOID keeps the invoice, marks it VOID with the date, who voided it and why, returns its parts to stock, and removes its payments without sending a refund to the card processor. DELETE takes the invoice off your records entirely, returns its parts to stock, and refunds card payments at the processor for you; if a card refund fails, the invoice is not deleted. Both can be password-protected, and both can remove the outside part purchases linked to the invoice.
