Master Business Configuration

Master Business Configuration is the single place your shop's own details and working rules are set, and most other screens in ARM read their defaults from here. Settings are grouped into Store Information, New Client/Inactive Settings, Sales Tax Rates, Invoice Entry Settings, Employee Settings, Email/SMS Settings, Reward Functionality and Legal Language/Disclaimers. Every group is a list of Configuration Title and Configuration Value rows with an edit icon in the Action column.

How do I change a setting in Master Business Configuration? #

  1. From the Home Screen, click System Setup Tools → Master Business Configuration.
  2. Type part of the setting's name in the Search configuration titles box to jump to it, or scroll to the group that holds it.
  3. Click the edit icon in the Action column on that row. The setting opens in the panel on the right.
  4. Change the Configuration Value.
  5. Click Edit to save it.

How do I set my shop's name, address and contact details? #

  1. From the Home Screen, click System Setup Tools → Master Business Configuration.
  2. Go to the Store Information group.
  3. Edit Store Name, Address, City, Zip Code, State and Country so they match your legal business details — these print on estimates and invoices.
  4. Edit Email Address, Mobile Phone Number, Store Phone Number and Fax Number.
  5. Edit EIN Number and ARO Number if your state requires them on customer paperwork.
  6. Click Edit to save each value as you change it.

How do I set my shop's opening hours? #

  1. From the Home Screen, click System Setup Tools → Master Business Configuration.
  2. Go to the Store Information group.
  3. Edit Store Start Time and Store Close Time.
  4. Edit Store Lunch Break Start Time and Store Lunch Break End Time so scheduling allows for the break.
  5. Click Edit to save each value.

How do I set my sales tax rates? #

  1. From the Home Screen, click System Setup Tools → Master Business Configuration.
  2. Go to the Sales Tax Rates group.
  3. Edit Sales Tax % on Parts and enter the rate you charge on parts.
  4. Edit Sales Tax % on Labor and enter the rate you charge on labor. Enter 0 if you do not tax labor.
  5. Click Edit to save each value. New invoices pick the rates up straight away.

How do I turn the cash drawer features on? #

  1. From the Home Screen, click System Setup Tools → Master Business Configuration.
  2. Go to the Store Information group.
  3. Edit Cash Drawer Functionality On/Off and set it to Yes.
  4. Edit Drawer Count Required On/Off to make staff count the drawer, and End Of Day Report On/Off to produce the end-of-day figures.
  5. Click Edit to save each value.

How do I hide profit margins from staff? #

  1. From the Home Screen, click System Setup Tools → Master Business Configuration.
  2. Go to the Store Information group.
  3. Edit Display Profit Margins on Home Page & Invoice Screens On/Off and set it to No.
  4. Click Edit to save.
