Smog Certificate Inventory

Smog certificates are controlled stock: you buy them in numbered batches and must be able to account for every one. This screen tracks each batch you receive and how many certificates in it are still unused, and the report shows which invoice each used certificate went onto. The list shows the Batch No, Purchase Date, Start Cert Number, End Cert Number, and the Total, Used and Unused Certificates.

How do I record a batch of smog certificates I have received? #

  1. From the Home Screen, click System Setup Tools → Smog Certificate Inventory.
  2. Click Add Smog Certificate Inventory.
  3. Enter the Date Certificates Received. This is required.
  4. Enter the First Certificate Number and the Last Certificate Number. Both are required — ARM works out how many are in the batch from them.
  5. Check the No. of Certificate Received matches the batch you were sent.
  6. Click Save.

How do I check how many certificates I have left? #

  1. From the Home Screen, click System Setup Tools → Smog Certificate Inventory.
  2. Set the status list to Pending to see batches with certificates still available, Used to see exhausted batches, or All for everything, then click Search.
  3. Read Unused Certificates on each batch line. Remaining Certs in this batch on a batch record shows the same figure.

How do I find which invoice a certificate was used on? #

  1. From the Home Screen, click System Setup Tools → Smog Certificate Inventory.
  2. Open the Used Smog Certificate Report.
  3. Enter the certificate number in Search Text, or narrow by All Certificate, Pass or Fail, and by Void or Used.
  4. Click Search, or Show All to list every certificate.
  5. Each line shows the Invoice#, Invoice Date, Smog Cert#, Batch Number, Date Used, Status and the vehicle and Customer Name. Click Print for a copy to file.
